In 2024, the St. Pölten Tourism organization partnered with Bakabu, the beloved children's character, to create an engaging and interactive experience centered around 'Bakabu – Das Wolfslied von St. Pölten.'
This project aimed to combine entertainment with education, offering a unique way for families and children to explore the city using, and the best par, it' using our xamoom system.
How St. Pölten Was Bringing Stories to Life
St. Pölten wanted to create an interactive, family-friendly experience that would not only attract more visitors but also encourage them to explore various locations within the city. The challenge was to create an engaging narrative that would resonate with children and parents alike, while also being easy to access and navigate.
Using xamoom's mobile platform, the project implemented location-based storytelling through QR codes placed throughout St. Pölten. Each location connected to a chapter of Bakabu’s adventure, "Das Wolfslied," allowing children to follow the story as they visited different parts of the city. The experience was designed to be multilingual and accessible, ensuring that all visitors, regardless of language or ability, could participate.
The content was easily managed through xamoom’s platform, allowing for seamless updates and integration with St. Pölten Tourism’s existing digital channels. The mobile-friendly nature of the project ensured that visitors could access the content without needing to download an app, making it accessible to a broader audience.
