Of course, each new version is better than the previous one. With version 2.0 (code name: Naked Lunch), we have taken a huge step forward. We are now completely ready for the market.
2.0 is stable as a rock and the last sprint since mid-January brought so many new things, like no other iteration before.
The highlights of over 50 new features and improvements are:
- Statistics Dashboard:
Customers can now see at a glance what has happened in their system. - GPS geofencing:
In addition to QR and NFC labels we now also support GPS-Geofencing (dots on a map within a certain radius). - Many design improvements:
Both in the administration and in the mobile view, the surface is now generally looking better. That is most obvious with the links on the mobile website (see screenshot on the right) or while moving the blocks of content. - WordPress Integration:
Content from xamoom does not have to be maintained in another content management system (CMS). They can now be displayed through a plugin in WordPress. Because the content (pages and blog posts) always comes from the xamoom cloud, the loading times are incredibly short – compared to conventional WordPress content. - New blocks of content:
New additions include the content block download (initially for calendar and business card files) and maps for single or multiple locations. - Management of Spots:
We have simplified the administration of places and things. Newly added is an indication of the URLs for QR codes and NFC chips for each spot. This simplifies the production of additional or replaceable labels. - Translations:
In addition to German and English xamoom is now also available in Slovak and Slovene. - Keyboard controls:
With the keyboard shortcut [Ctrl] + [S] the user can now save or update pages in the editor.

xamoom has grown: In January, our first employee has arrived – Raphael Seher is working on our mobile apps. In February, Pavol Daňo, an experienced web developer joined the team.
This allows us to develop even faster from now on. But it also means that the successful teamwork with saloon.io ends. We’d like to say Thank You to Philipp Spieß and Nicolas Dular! Without these great developers, we would not be where we are and for that, we are truly grateful.
Two interns, Ema Ciglič and Raphael Gall, made our team not only complete but even more international. With our two growth hackers, we want to increase the impact rate on the market.
Now, we are truly “a joyful team”.
